Prussian Infantry Reserve One Year Volunteer Pickelhaube

Above:  This Prussian Reserve Infantry One Year Volunteer Pickelhaube has many features of an officer’s pickelhaube but notice the pins that fasten the spike base to the helmet body.  They are simple domed pins.  Also the liner is made of leather not silk and the visor front and rear interior is plain leather, not painted.  The Landwehr Cross is mounted low on the Prussian Eagle so this is a Reserve pickelhaube not a Landwehr pickelhaube
